White + Red = Pink

No, we are not having a color mixing lesson. Warning - this post contains TMI, so don't read on if you don't want to know. M bit me hard, and when I pumped last night I had pink milk. I was not going to feed her the pink milk so I sighed (and even felt like crying) as I poured the liquid gold down the drain. I was still bleeding this morning, oh yeah and the bite occurred at 4:45 yesterday afternoon, but it seems to be just fine now. I made a salt water solution to clean the area since you are not supposed to use soap "there" while you are breastfeeding. I will definitely be paying very close attention to M's "I'm done and now I'm just playing" cues. I was on the phone with my mom and being entertained by an adorable 2 year old when it happened, so needless to say I was not focused on my nursing baby.

Oh no! I am sorry to hear that! We certainly went through that. It's an urgent reminder to pay attention to those cues like you said. Twice now lately Kouper has fallen asleep and then chomped down and locked his jaw on my "area". OUCH! But in the end it's all worth it as you know. Get better!

Oucheee! Luckily that never happened to me, with either boy - and at 15 months, I'm sorry to say, but I will no longer be able to experience that. My big ole boy is on his own now! And I'm a member of the IBT Club!
