Too excited to sleep

That was case in our home last night. G talked and sang for about 1 1/2 hours before finally falling asleep. Then she was up at 11 pm, 1:30 am, 3:00 am proclaiming that she was done sleeping and she wanted to go downstairs because Santa was coming. How do you rationalize to a 2 year old that Santa is not coming until tomorrow night? Of course that is what we told her to send her back to dreamland - at least for a few hours at a time. When she woke for the day at 7:15 she came bouncing downstairs and has talked non stop for the past hour about Santa coming tonight.

Yesterday we made cut out cookies and this morning we are going to ice and decorate them. We always go to church on Christmas Eve - how is she going to "sit" through mass with all this built up excitement? After mass this evening we are going over to Grandma and Papa's and Santa comes to visit their house every year!

I hope I can stay awake today because there is much to do!!!
