A/C Update

Thanks to everyone for their recommendations. We had 4 companies come out and they all had such a range of what needed to be done it was hard to decide what was right for us and our home. We decided to use A/C Appliance Pros because they were the most thorough when assessing our home and they were by far the most professional. It turns out we do not have to put in a second unit in order to even the upstairs and downstairs temps. We are putting in a damper system that will change the airflow as needed. With the new system they only need to make minor changes to the duct work. If the house would have already been set up for a second system then it would make sense, but why redo all the duct work and spend an additional 10 grand if you don't have to?
