Drama

Matt and I were at The Shops at Willow Bend Mall today letting G enjoy the play place in the cool, M was just along for the ride and to be nosey. First of all the mall was unusually packed with shoppers wanting to get their hands on the new i phone that was released today. The line to the Apple store stretched and wound its way thorough a large portion of the mall. I was shocked at just how many people were in line for hours and hours to get the new phone. As we were leaving, or should I say trying to leave, they closed down about a 1/3 of the mall. The 1/3 where our car was parked of course. We went back and exited from another door and had to walk in the hot sun to get to the parking garage where our car was. When we left the mall there were 3 or 4 news helicopters hoovering above the mall. Police were everywhere and the bomb squad was just arriving. Supposedly a suspicious package was found and it was being investigated. I am glad we got out of there when we did. After we were in the car and headed safely home I got scared. What if there was actually something in the package? It makes me realize just how precious every moment is I have with my family because you never know what could happen when you least expect it.

I don't know whatever came of the package. There hasn't been any breaking news on the radio or TV other to report what I already knew. I guess they will report what, if anything, the bomb squad found on the evening news.

I just checked on-line and here is the news story link. It was all okay. http://www.wfaa.com/sharedcontent/dws/wfaa/latestnews/stories/wfaa080711_wz_suspiciouspackage.45e37fd5.html
