My relaxation is no longer

For the past 3 summers I have made weekly (sometimes daily) trips to the water park to meet up with my mom friends. It is great, we chat and the kids play. G has always played ever so cautiously near me, not straying too far, and certainly not running up and down the kids climb and slide area. M has been too young the past two summers, but as my dare devil I thought she would be into everything. I was wrong. Our first 6 visits she also played it safe, hated the water splashing in her face and would not stray from my sight, or should I say me from her sight.

Well, that all changed today! G first decided that there are more fun slides than just the little orange slides (in the pictures). She was off, and did not stop until it was time to go. She played with my dear friend Paige's little girl. She is 11 days older than G, and was going on all the slides last summer so she showed G the ropes. Miss M ventured up to the small orange slide this morning, slid, and ran back for more. It wasn't long until she wanted to brave taller and faster slides. I didn't get to relax and chat with my girlfriends today, and I am exhausted!

I am also one proud mommy because G stood up for Miss M when another kid tried to cut in front of her at one of the slides. I couldn't hear what she said, but I could definitely see it! That is huge for her to talk to someone she does not know and even bigger to stand up for her sister!

I could only get a few pictures because after these were taken Miss M was off, and they were not usually in the same place at the same time. Oh, and do you see the blue slide in the background of the pictures? Miss M went on it!
