We had a girl's day at the zoo today. It was wonderful!!! I had to take advantage of these mild temperatures and what better way than spending the morning looking at God's creatures. We went to the Dallas Zoo because it is a lot closer than the Ft. Worth Zoo. I have not been to the Dallas Zoo in over 3 years and they have made some extensive renovations. It still does not come close to the beauty of the Ft. Worth Zoo, but well on its way! I also got a sneak peek at the new area of the zoo that will be open in Spring 2010. The girls loved all the animals and cooling off in the Children's Zoo before our picnic lunch. I know next time to bring swimsuits - at least I had a change of clothes after they splashed in the water.
