Day 1 (Feb. 1st): The girls experimented with freezing water. They put cups outside and in the freezer to see which would freeze first. The cups outside froze at about the same speed as in the freezer! The girls stayed out for about 5 minutes, but then gave up when they couldn't play in the "snow" since it was mostly all ice. The chill factor was also below 0, and that was just way too cold.
Day 2 (Feb. 2nd): Groundhog Day! The girls made grass to put around a cup and then colored a groundhog to pop up out of his hole. We also sang a song about groundhogs, checked out Phil's website, and put together a beginning reader book about groundhogs that G could color and read.
Day 3 (Feb. 3rd): It starts to get a little fuzzy here and the days seem to run together. Thanks to the great idea of my good friend Paige, we made tissue paper hearts. G did a second page and wrote on it!
Day 4 (Feb. 4th): Finally SNOW! Unfortunately, this was a crabby day for M, and she didn't want to do much of anything :(. We made gluten free cut out sugar cookies (I am proud of this one because it was my first attempt at gluten free roll out cookies, and they turned out delicious!). We all went sledding (I didn't have my camera for this part). G played in the snow and painted the snow with colored water in spray water bottles in the backyard. We also put out a bowl to catch the snow and made snow cream with it.
Day 5 (Feb. 5th): Gorgeous sunshine and finally above freezing! The girls iced and decorated their valentine cookies. The girls also loved making valentines with scrapbook paper and foam heart stickers. I didn't get any pictures today, but it was still a lot of fun!

Your are so creative!!! Such fun and cute activities. We were a little limited on our crafts because of Mr. Jack! Everything turned out so cute!
