BEFORE
This is about a week overdue, but it was hectic around here! G's surgery went well. She handled it much better than I was anticipating. In the hospital they said she would be in recovery for about 45 minutes after surgery because it would take her a while to wake up. Well, they were wrong. She woke up quickly and did not got back to sleep after her pain medication like most people. They brought her back to us within 20 minutes after her surgery :). That made for a very happy mommy and daddy!

We had to stay another 2 hours, of which they said she would be mostly sleeping. Wrong again! After a little over an hour she was getting antsy and restless in the bed.
Ready to go home!
Once we got home she laid around, but still no sleeping until bedtime. Each day she got better and better, and each night she slept longer between pain medication. By day 4 she was feeling pretty good, but didn't really start eating until day 6. I checked her throat last night, which was day 10 after surgery. One scab has come off, but the other side still remains. We are not in the clear for no bleeding yet, but I am hoping that in the next day or two she will be almost completely healed. Thank you for all of your prayers and positive thoughts you sent our way.

wow! Sounds like she did great! and is still doing wonderful! YEAH!
