St. Louis

We had such a wonderful week in St. Louis! We were on the go constantly and even survived for days with no naps for the girls. If they would only sleep in the car -- hey, a mom can dream right?

We stopped halfway in the big town of Joplin, MO going and coming since 5 hours in the car was enough for one day. The girls loved swimming in the indoor pool at the hotel. Our original plans included for us to travel home by way of Branson and Hot Springs, but the weather was not in our favor for the stuff we had planned in Branson and Hot Springs so we just decided to stay an extra day in St. Louis.

One of Matt's aunts got married on Saturday. The girls had a fabulous time dancing while we enjoyed the company of Matt's mom's side of the family. After 12 years of being a part of Matt's family I still have trouble keeping track of who is who. I don't even think I could name all of his aunt's and uncle's if you paid me! In the last picture Matt's mom is dancing with her mom, who will be 92 in September. She still dances, drinks, and parties with the best of them!
We were supposed to go to the St. Louis zoo on Sunday, but the weather had other plans. It turned out great because we went to The Magic House, which we probably would not have gone to if it was not for the rain. If you have kids and are ever in St. Louis, you MUST go to The Magic House!!! Some of their favorite rooms and activities are pictured below: the bubble room, the 4 story Jack and Bean Stalk climbing stalk, making music, magnetic discovery, and the construction site (we thought of G's friend Cade when they were in the construction room - he would love it!) Monday we headed out to the zoo, which is also a must see if in St. Louis! They have a great variety of animals, shows, and terrific exhibits! It is very hilly, so be prepared to get a great workout.

Your girls are getting so big and just cuter every time I see a photo of them! Looks like a good time was had. I hope that I'm like your 92 year old relative too! She sounds like a spit-fire!

Kristin - She is a spit-fire! She is the only great grandparent the girls have on either side and she is oh so much fun!

That's so neat that they are able to have her in their life! I never got to meet any of my great-grandparents! I hope I'm just like her when I'm 92!

Isn't The Magic House the best? I remember going there when I was little!
