Lucky Girl is 3 Today!

I am in denial that my "baby" is 3 years old today! It seemed like just yesterday my little lucky charm was born. Miss M is very independent and has a BIG personality to go along with her independence. Her sensitivity and cuddliness countered with her spunky and sassy drama makes her quite unique! She keeps everyone, even big sis, on their toes. I also have to mention that Miss M is helping us learn more patience! We may very well have a fasionista on our hands which is made apparent daily by the constant outfit changes. Perhaps, that is only the sassy drama in her. Miss M is full of life, extremely passionate, and built in entertainment on a daily basis. We are so lucky God choose us to be her parents! We love you Miss M!

She wanted a dinosaurs for her party this year, so dinos is what it was! The kids went around the dining room table with dino feet on while carrying a dinosaur egg on a spoon. Then, they had an excavation for dinosaurs in the backyard. After playing in the sand and on the swing set we had chocolate cake and purple ice cream. One of her BFF's was out of town and couldn't make it to the party. She was so sad when she found out and said with the saddest voice and the saddest face, "Beck has to be here! I love Beck!" Did I mention the drama already?

Party Prep Blooper:
The chocolate cake was a last minute switch. We were supposed to make ice cream sandwiches with homemade gluten free chocolate chip cookies since I had not figured out a good gluten free mix for cake or cupcakes. Well, I softened the butter too much, which made the dough to gooey. Well, the cookies tasted great, but they did not make nice circles for the ice cream sandwiches as planned. So, at 11 pm, the night before the party, I tried a new gluten free cake recipe for the party. It turned out delicious and now I have a yummy chocolate cake recipe! I whipped up some butter cream icing, died it green for grass, and set the dino candles on top. It was as if I had planned it that way! We had the purple ice cream on the side instead of between the cookies.
