3 year old stats and ice cream

G went for her 3 year old well child check up today. The pedi. is impressed with her vocabulary and cognitive ability. Ahhh, proud parents - see all my talking is paying off! She is still quite the little thing, but has a big spirit to make up for her size. She is a little firecracker!

Weight: 24 lbs. 9 ozs. (5%)
Height: 35 in. (10%)

She sat up on the table by herself for 10 minutes or so just talking with her pedi. The pedi. was having her draw, name colors, and asking her questions to check to see if she was developmentally on target. This is huge for her since she is quite bashful in out of the ordinary situations. This was great for me because while she was doing her thing I was trying to keep a very mobile M occupied. She also had to have her iron tested, so she got her finger pricked - twice actually because the first time they couldn't get any blood to flow. When the nurse asked for her hand the second time she just held it out, even though she knew what they were going to do. All she said was ouch. After dinner tonight she had a well deserved ice cream cone - with sprinkles!!!

M had to have one vax. today since we space out her shots. She has them more frequently, but only 1 or 2 at a time. She SCREAMED - my drama queen numero dos. But, as soon as she got to nurse she was just fine. The booby makes it all better. While G enjoyed her ice cream she enjoyed her grapes. I think she was looking at the ice cream and thinking - "Hey, I want that!" Oh, and she weighed almost 19 lbs today - fully clothed, but still a gain is a gain!
